Zone Leak Detection Equipment

Water splash on surface

A Zone Leak Detection Controller might be the answer if you need to safeguard a limited region against fluid leakage.

When any conductive fluid comes into contact with an associated RLE sensing cable or spot detector, these low-cost controllers alert you nearly instantaneously.

You can rapidly detect the leak and take action before the leak does any harm in a small place where your sensor cable is plainly visible.

Most RLE Zone Controllers use Form C relay output for external alarm notification. Some Zone Leak Detection Hardware uses open protocols for third-part-systems integration.

Zone Leak Detection Controllers

RLE Technologies Seahawk LDRA6 Controller

Six Zone Leak Detection Controller

LDRA6

The LDRA6 is compatible with SeaHawk sensing cables and SeaHawk SD-Z & SD-Z1 spot detectors as a zone leak detection solution. The LDRA6 can detect the presence of water, conductive fluids, and chemicals. The LDRA6 sets off an alert in the appropriate zone when a leak is discovered.

LDRA6 can accommodate up to 1,000 feet (305 meters) of sensing cable or one or more spot detectors in each of the six zones. The Leader Kit (LC-KIT) is required for each zone used as a Leak Detection Input.

Each input has a relay output and the panel has one summary relay output.

The Modbus capabilities of the LDRA6 enable it to communicate with other Modbus-compliant devices.

LDRA6 Key Features

  • Monitor up to 1000 feet (305 meters) of leak detection sensing cable and/or spot detectors per zone; 6000 feet (1830 meters) total,
  • The LDRA6 fully integrates with RLE’s family of leak detection cables.  One controller can monitor an area for both water and chemical leaks with our distinct leak detection cables.
  • Create a unique combination of zone leak detection and dry contact alarm annunciation
  • Adjustable leak thresholds fine-tune the system
  • Supervised inputs monitor cable for breaks and contamination
  • Form C relay output for each input enables communication with BMS/NMS/BAS via Modbus RTU (EIA-485)
  • One tri-color notification LED per input and one audible alarm

RLE WiNG-LD Wireless Zone Leak Detection Sensor

Wireless Leak Detection Sensor

WiNG-LD

WiNG leak detection sensors are a great addition to the WiNG wireless sensor technology product line. The WiNG-LD Leak Detection technology safeguards your facility against water and chemical spills. The WiNG-LD wireless sensor may be used in conjunction with an SD-Z or SD-Z1 spot detector or RLE leak detection sensing cables.

Small form factor and long battery life

WiNG sensors are small and inconspicuous, but they have an industry-leading battery life — at room temperature, sensor batteries may last up to 12 years. WiNG sensors keep this longer battery life by sending measurements to the WiNG-MGR web interface every 10-20 seconds.

Long transmission distance

The WiNG system offers an unrivaled transmission range between sensors and manager: up to 100 feet through several walls, 270 feet through one wall, and 600 feet indoors with a direct line of sight. While this range is more than enough for most applications, some signals must be pushed through more complicated physical or noisy RF environments. In these cases, the WiNG-RXT range extender may be used to increase the application’s transmission distance by up to 1,000 feet of the direct line of sight.
